With nearly 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry and in IT, Joe Boyd has been actively engaged with Encore in a senior advisory capacity since the Company’s inception and previously served as a senior advisor to Healthlink. He began his IT career with Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in the State and Local Government Healthcare Group. After leaving EDS, he worked in the healthcare practices of KPMG Peat Marwick and GTE before joining Perot Systems in 1990. Since retiring from Perot Systems in 2001 he has maintained an active profile in the industry providing management consulting and executive coaching services through his own firm, Boyd Consulting.

Dana has more than 25 years’ experience in healthcare, technology, and consulting. Ivo Nelson, a twenty-eight year veteran in the healthcare industry, is the founder of Encore Health Resources, and the Chief Executive Officer of startup investment advisory firm, Encore Connect. Ivo’s many accomplishments include building some of the largest outsourcing and consulting firms in the healthcare IT industry, as well as developing global business in Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East. This broad global experience gives Ivo a deep understanding of each unique market and an appreciation for the common threads of healthcare solutions and skills across the world.

President and COO
Tom has more than 20 years of executive experience in HIT, sales and marketing, and strategic planning. Prior to joining Encore in 2011, he began at CTG in 1999 as managing director of CTGHS, a new division created when CTG acquired Elumen Solutions, a company which Mr. Niehaus originally co-founded under the name Exemplar Systems. He was named president of CTGHS in 2003. Before his work at Exemplar, he served for nine years at IBAX Healthcare Systems – now part of McKesson – where he was national manager of that firm’s Technical Services organization.

Practice Executive, Strategy & Advisory
Karen Knecht has over 28 years of healthcare operations and healthcare technology experience. She has provided consulting services for provider healthcare organizations, assisting them in the planning and implementation of advanced clinical computing technologies to improve the quality and costs of care. Her particular focus is on how clinical computing technologies can deliver healthcare providers the critical information required to provide a safer, more effective patient care environment.

Practice Executive, System Deployment & Optimization
Dan has over 16 years of experience in healthcare IT consulting, the majority of which has been dedicated to project management of clinical information system implementations. His most recent experience has been with CPOE, Clinical Documentation, and Perioperative system projects. Dan’s background also includes the redesign of healthcare operations to reduce costs and streamline workflows. In addition to his IT consulting experience, Dan has in-depth knowledge of procurement and contract negotiations, gained through 15 years of healthcare operations experience with a variety of healthcare facilities.

Christine Hutchison has over 15 years of staffing and recruiting experience, 11 in the field of healthcare information technology. Her areas of specialty include recruiting, candidate sourcing, acquisitions, application tracking systems, and leadership. Prior to joining Encore as one of the founding team members, Christine served as Recruiting Manager at HealthBPM; Director of Talent Sourcing at Resource Global Professionals; Healthcare Industry Operations Specialist at IBM; and Recruiting Manager at Healthlink.

Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Binderman has over 25 years of experience in patient care, healthcare operations, and information technology. Her career experience covers clinical content management, order set development, CPOE implementation, closed-loop medication management, and clinical documentation. Dr. Binderman brings her expertise in change management, operational and cultural transformation, clinical process workflow and redesign, ambulatory workflow and medical records planning to Encore client engagements. Dr. Binderman trained at Cornell University, Texas A&M University, Louisiana State University, and Arizona State University.

Sherie has over 25 years of healthcare experience and a track record of multimillion dollar consulting engagements with100% client satisfaction. Her industry experience includes the Collaborative Care and Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) arena during which she worked to develop a strategy and solution set for IBM’s Collaborative Care offering. Sherie is also well versed in medical imaging technology, standards, radiology workflow, interfaces, internet technology, and software applications. Her other industry experience includes providing consultant services around Real Time Location Tracking. She provides a disciplined approach to technology planning, Radiology Information Systems (RIS) design, implementation planning, business impact analysis, workflow analysis, process re-engineering, and system optimization.

Prior to joining Encore, Bill’s work experience includes executive and leadership positions with IBM, Healthlink, and HBO & Company.

Joan has 25 years of professional experience in providing IT consulting, emergency management, public health preparedness, and force health protection to clients across the Department of Defense (DoD) and Federal Government. Her background includes over 20 years of experience in Military Health and leadership in the delivery of military medical programs across the DoD, and more than 18 years in IT and Emergency Management and Health Preparedness project management.

Linda has over 35 years of experience in healthcare consulting, informatics, clinical and consulting operations improvement, and quality outcomes. She has demonstrated results in reducing cost and cycle time by 33% in EMR implementations. Her consulting expertise includes: ARRA readiness, clinical outcomes and performance improvement, patient safety, CPOE, clinical process re-design, benefits identification and realization, disease management, project management, operations, leadership and team building. Linda has a strong clinical background, coupled with payer, provider and regulatory experience, and augmented by graduate business training which allow her to offer unique insight and provide creative solutions in a rapidly changing health care environment.

Paul’s depth of experience in vendor selection extends across both clinical and financial/ administrative systems and in a wide range of provider settings.

Gregg has over 17 years of healthcare operations and IT experience. His diverse background includes physician group practice management, consulting practice development, interim management, account management, and project management. Gregg has a deep knowledge of the ambulatory/physician practice market, strong leadership qualifications, and “hands on” implementation experience with clinical and revenue cycle systems, especially Epic Systems. Gregg was a founding member of the Epic Service Line at both Encore Health Resources and Healthlink Incorporated and has been assisting Epic clients through the full implementation life cycle for over a decade, in environments from academic medical centers to private group practices.

Cathy has more than 29 years of combined experience in information systems, health care operations, hospital administration, nursing management, consulting, analytics, and clinical expertise. She has led progressive healthcare initiatives, strategy, systems analysis, business intelligence, software implementation, and enterprise-wide process redesign and transformation in community, IDN, ambulatory and academic settings. Her consulting expertise also includes interim IT leadership roles at the Director, Senior Director, and Vice President levels for Administrative and Clinical Systems.
