KLAS Ranks Encore Health Resources as one of the Top Two Health IT Advisory Services Firms
HOUSTON, TX – KLAS Enterprises has ranked Encore Health Resources, a leader in advanced health information technology services, as one of the top two overall performers in the health IT advisory services segment. The ranking came in a new May 2011 report published by KLAS last week, entitled Advisory Services: Navigating the Maze of Performance and Choice*. The report put Encore just 0.2 of a point behind first place, highlighting the young company’s strengths in areas including IT strategy/planning, consultant quality, and healthcare expertise. In total, KLAS included 20 firms, ranking the top 15.
Wrote KLAS, “Encore’s mindshare has steadily grown, jumping 300% alone since 2010. IT strategy/Planning was their greatest strength, which along with IT Assessment made up 59% of their engagements. Strong performance in their advisory work is leading to increasing implementation work, where they also received high marks.”
The report went on to note that, despite its being a fairly new company, Encore’s leadership and overall talent base offer a wealth of healthcare experience. “Encore is already becoming known for consultant quality and healthcare expertise,” wrote KLAS. “They have also gained much greater visibility in the marketplace for IT Strategy/Planning and IT Assessments over the past year, being considered six times in this report, a threefold increase over last year.”

Because Encore was established less than two-and-a-half years ago by Sellers and Chairman Ivo Nelson, the report marks the first time KLAS has formally ranked the company. However, KLAS did make mention of Encore among its review of top industry players last year in a May report entitled, Shifting Demand for Consultants: Who’s Hot, Who’s Not, and Why, in which it called the then year-old, fledgling organization “an up and coming player.”
